Itzamatch.com launched Rock to Fame, the search for Cebu’s finest rock stars on August 2008.
Bands from different schools and different companies in Cebu will be competing for the Rock to Fame title through a series of gigs at Paseo Cebu, one of the popular hangouts in Cebu, Philippines. Elimination rounds started on October 15, 2008 and will be held every Wednesday from them on until November 19, 2008 – six (6) electrifying nights of rockin’ ‘til you drop. The cream of the crop will then be competing with each other for the FINALS, with the winners bringing home the honor and the license to live the rock star dream.
There are two categories in Rock to Fame: Rock University and Rock Star Yuppies. Rock University is for college students aspiring to be rock stars in their own right. And you know what they say about all work and no play makes life boring. Rock to Fame gives young professionals their well-deserved break as they rock themselves out in Rock Star Yuppies.
The primary goal of this contest is to discover new talents and assist them in rockin’ their way to fame. This competition will certainly provide an opportunity for budding local musicians to showcase their musical skills and let the world see the rock stars in them. |
